What This Tool Does
A practical date calculator, not just a single number generator.
Exclusive and inclusive counting
Some date ranges count the end day and some do not. This tool lets you compare both approaches so you can match the way your project, booking window, or deadline is actually defined.
Business-day estimate
For many planning tasks, weekends do not count the same way weekdays do. The business-day option gives you a Monday-to-Friday estimate without needing a spreadsheet.
Readable time breakdowns
Sometimes a raw day count is enough. Sometimes it is easier to understand a range as years, months, weeks, and days. This calculator shows both views so the result is easier to use.
How To Use It
Simple steps for accurate day counting
Enter your start date and end date first. Then decide whether you want a standard exclusive count, an inclusive count that includes the last day, or a weekday-only estimate for business planning. Once you run the calculation, review the total days, weekday and weekend split, midpoint date, and calendar breakdown.
If your question is more like “what date is 60 days after today?” use the add-or-subtract section instead. That part of the tool is useful for contract deadlines, renewal reminders, and planning backwards from an event date.
FAQ
Common questions about days between dates
Does this calculator include the end date?
By default, it shows a standard difference between the two dates. If you need both the start and end day counted, turn on the inclusive option.
Does the business-day option remove weekends?
Yes. The weekday estimate uses a Monday-to-Friday workweek and treats Saturdays and Sundays as weekend days.
Does it work for past and future dates?
Yes. You can compare two dates in the past, two dates in the future, or a range that crosses from past into future.
Can I use this to add or subtract days from a date?
Yes. The second calculator on the page lets you enter a base date, choose add or subtract, and apply a day count to find the new date instantly.
